Design of all custom made furniture and selection of all fabrics for the free standing and built in seating for this 346 seat iconic restaurant in the heart of New York City’s Central Park.

Services included furniture design, selection of all seating fabrics, attendance at weekly project meetings with the entire project team and contractors for design and coordination, review of detailed shop drawings and assistance with the supervision of fabrication and installation of custom furnishings produced in Italy.

Project challenges were to ensure that the vision of the Interior Design Architect and of the Owners was enhanced and supported with the furniture and fabrics. All of the custom designed furniture was hand made in Italy, contracted and organized through Aronson Office Furniture. The process required detailed reviews of furniture shop drawings, visits to the furniture manufacturing facility in Italy, reviews of mock up furniture and close coordination between site conditions and production.

Renovation of a Manhattan hotel restaurant and bar to provide an updated interior in which to relax, socialize and enjoy exceptional views of Central Park.

Services included the selection of all new carpets, wall coverings, lighting fixtures, furniture, fabrics, and the design of custom millwork for a new bar, banquette seating and wine storage.

Project challenges included re-branding the interior spaces to create an elegant welcoming atmosphere that is enhanced by the view of Central Park, and working with in a very tight schedule dictated by the economic constraints of a small time frame to close the spaces for the renovation work.

Renovation of a well-established Midtown bar and outdoor terrace atop a luxury hotel in Manhattan.

Services included interior architectural design, exterior design of outdoor roof surface, and selection of all furniture, lighting, finishes and custom design of bar millwork, glass and tables.

Project challenges included creating an updated environment to attract a new generation of New York socialites while maintaining the appeal of established clientele. Inside the glass enclosed rooftop space, the bar was treated like a glowing jewel in a glass box. A bi-level asymmetrical handmade glass counter was created which incorporated LED lighting to change color adding a sense of drama and variety for the patrons.

Design for updated guest rooms, corridors and executive suites in this midtown Manhattan boutique hotel.

Services included selection of furniture, fabrics, carpets and wall coverings.

Project challenges included working with and enhancing the original materials of cherry wood and imported marbles and preserving and refurbishing selective furniture pieces in concert with new finishes and furnishings, to provide a remarkable guest environment while being mindful of budget and schedule.

Gut renovation of the entire guest room tower of the 1902 New York City Landmark structure and renovation of the hotel’s public spaces.

Services included interior architectural design and architectural design to replace of all exterior windows which required working with Landmarks to obtain approval for window replacement.

Project challenges included conforming the interior circulation and vertical transportation to ADA accessibility standards and to harmonize the new guest room designs with the five star hotel’s standards and with the building’s architectural features.
